I recently got a male double tail betta for discount price at a chain pet store seeing he was on clearance. I had a heated and cycled 10 gallon snail tank I put him into and he seemed happy, couple months later I notice a strange growth that's only been getting bigger. I'm worried it is a tumor, or possibly cancerous. He is active and eating still.
