I was given this beautiful boy (Clark) today for Christmas. I’m very thankful, however it was completely unexpected and I do not have a proper tank for him at the moment. Apparently he’s been in this bowl for 3-4 days. I plan to get him a proper tank and setup tomorrow, or as soon as I can. I just feel so horrible for having him in this bowl, will he okay in here for another day? I don’t want him suffering any, I imagine he’s not the happiest being in this bowl. Also, happy holidays everyone. ❤️

If you can get a clean bucket w an air stone it would be best, but for one or two more days he will survive (key word survive not thrive). If you need any advice on tanks, lmk.
It’s great that you want to provide him with a proper tank.
Please don’t get colorful gravel and fake decorations or fake plants.
Live plants, dark natural substrate would be best.
Research about the nitrogen cycle and how a fish-in cycle works.
You will need a liquid water test to get correct parameters and do water changes accordingly.
Minimum 10 gal tank, more wide than tall, would be best.
Tank should be heavily planted to provide lots of hides and enrichment. It should have a lid.
Java fern, amazon sword or super fast growing limnophila sessiliflora would be best.
Frogbit or similar floating plants.
Don’t forget a sponge filter and heater.
