10 gallon tank, 79 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a sponge filter and a 100-watt heater (it’s cold where I live).
Tank has been running for about a month now. My little fish was added in two days ago. I did not dose with ammonia or fish food prior to getting the fish, so I don’t think this counts as a fishless cycle.
Have been using Fritz Turbostart in the tank since the fish was acquired. Fasted him for the first day and am now feeding him low amounts of food (two pellets twice a day). His food intake will be slowly increased.
I’m not sure whether or not a water change is appropriate. While all his levels are at zero and it’s a planted tank, I still feel like he may need a water change? This is my first time keeping fish and while I’m well-read on the topic, I want the advice of more seasoned fishkeepers.

You’re fine to leave it alone. Your main concern is Ammonia and Nitrite. There isn’t much if any waste in your tank so you’re getting a 0 Nitrate reading. Do another test tomorrow.
Not seasoned, but if the numbers are good, then I wanna lean towards no as that’s what “I” was told by the store.
So you’re supposed to dose the Friztzyme and let it sit until you do a water change.
If all things are stable, I’d leave the water until you see a little ammonia. Then do a water change and then you could add a little Fritz. I honestly have never dosed it more than once when doing a fish-in cycle.
I found cycling a slow process with a betta but very controllable testing every day. It took a little bit for my first spikes in ammonia and nitrites. When they came just did my 25% water changes.
