its 5 gal, i want to get a longfinned betta because i feel they would do better in this smaller amount of space, i am planning to let the plants grow a lot before i get a betta.

I think it’s looking great personally! Imagine dragging around a ball gown dress all day 😮💨 it looks wider than taller and that’s perfect so they can get to the top faster for a quick breather and lots of side to side swimming space. I think a lil nerite snail would be fun and they’re pretty much betta resistant 😂 *but never 100%…* 👁️👁️

The only problem I feel is that not filling it means less space for the fish. you essentially have made your 5 gallon into a 3/4 gallon. I think it would be better to fill it all the way up and then add resting places close to the top. That way the fish has enough space and can still reach the surface. Just my opinion.
