*the sound you hear is not the tank- it’s my dad snow blowing
I’ve had my boy for a month now, and he is in a Fluval 9 gallon tank that I’ve had set up for about 2 years now. He swims around the whole tank but loves to just sit on this side and watch me and I’m worried he doesn’t have enough room and wants to move more. Do I need a bigger tank?

But to answer the question, if I was in your situation all I would do is trim plants

my girl has a whole ten gallons and mostly stays near the left wall. she patrols around the tank a few times a day tho.

9 gallons is enough! maybe he found his favorite spot or he just recognizes you as the ‘food giver’. these guys are excellent beggars

  3. They sometimes tend to pick some favorite spots, so I wouldn’t stress about that.

I disagree with the other comment about trimming the plants for sure. They look good to me, not enough to obstruct swimming

  4. Fluval 34? Those things are super for bettas. All looks fine to me, this might well just be his spot he sits in to watch you.

I have the same tank! I have my beautiful female crowntail in there with a bunch of plants. That tank is fine!
