Hi betta people
I know we are all biased to think our betta is the cutest, the best, the most beautiful. So I just wanted to share my best betta. The only one I have. His name is Henry, pronounced the french way, cause he's fancy like that.
This is my low effort tank, it's just him, a few helenas and one lonely shrimp I just can't catch. But even though I just throw in there whatever is left over from my other tanks, it's my favorite. And I think Henry enjoys it. He's got his feeding log, and a huuge Anubia in the corner that you can't really see from the front. That's where he sleeps, close to the surface.
I've had issues with him getting his fins caught and obviously he has a harder time swimming to the surface because of the god awful load of those fins. After this guy, I am never getting a long finned betta again. I bought him from a chain fish store, just couldn't leave him, his fins looked god awful, and while there is no fin rot anymore, I do think the tangling and all the unnecessary overlap is just hard on him.
I was initially gonna set him up in his own shallow 15gal tank, but while setting that up he's been doing so well in this setup, I think I will just move it to where he gets more attention and that will be more rewarding than more swimming space for him. What do you all think?
