I have the small buddy heater but with the kids coming out with me I need something to keep this thing warm so they can stay comfortable.

Is the big buddy the best option, is there a sunflower with an oxygen sensor? Is a diesel heater worth considering

  1. Diesel heaters are pretty nice and are efficient and fast. Definitely great larger areas better

  2. Diesel heater will put out the most btu safely

Big buddy is good but being an non insulated tent might be a waste of money as wind seems to cut through those things

    Sunflowers are not safe

  3. Diesel heater is a game changer. The dry heat they produce keeps it so much more comfortable inside the shack. When I ran a hub shack, I bought one of the heaters that comes with its own enclosure. A 50ah lithium battery is light and will run it for a significant amount of time. I used a piece of silicone tubing to run the exhaust under the skirt of the hub. Silicone tubing can withstand the heat but doesn’t get hot enough to melt the fabric. Keep the heater inside the shack as it’s more efficient since it’s heating already warm air instead of drawing in and heating cold outside air.
