Betta Fish: Before and after bringing my girl home

I've had her for 4 months now. She's a female dumbo ear betta, which I know isn't the greatest as far as defects go. I got her for free from a friend who used to work at Petsmart. She was in need of help ASAP. She's in a 5 gallon heated (78F), filtered tank with live plants. She had some fin tears when I got her but they seem to be doing better. I'm looking into upgrading her to an 8-10 gallon in the new year. So proud of her transformation! Pic 1 is the day I brought her home, pic 2 is from a few weeks ago.
