someone brought in a betta to my work as a surrender (i work at petco, everyone needs money let me live)and were very up front about how they were not taking care of him. i took him home because i have owned numerous bettas over the years and had room.
this betta was kept in with barbs and his tail has been ripped up. i’ve never “rehabbed” a fish but i want to be able to help. he wont really move from the top of the tank or near the filter/heater. he’s barely explored the plants and hides. he’s laid on some of the wood but then he goes right back to his normal spots. in there with him now are some long fin danios, ember tetras, and a golden wonder killi.
