I am fishing on an ice house for the first time on Mille Lacs. I am ice fishing with my Dad. We have 6 lines down and have the camera going. It’s 9:30pm at night and I see all this movement on the camera and I can’t tell what it is. It’s a bunch of white dots that look like they are dancing. It’s not debris.
I know it’s not fish because I’ll get up and flash the spot light down the camera whole and the screen lights up and there are no fish but I have no idea what all these white dots are and it’s driving me crazy.

What is going on down there?

Mudbugs, Waterbugs, algae, silt. You’ll find floaters anywhere you fish, especially if you bounce bottom.

Thems is lil water critters! Can’t tell what they are specifically, but they’re some sort of microorganisms. Food for the food of the fish you’re trying to catch, nothing to worry about
