Hi everyone!
I’m very new to Reddit and to fish keeping so bear with me!
I have been talking about getting a fish tank for ages and for Christmas my partner bought me a tank and we set it all up together.
We have a 40 litre freshwater planted tank with some neon and ember tetras (collectively referred to as the fruit pastels) and a very handsome male betta fish named Rhubarb. We have also noticed over the last couple of weeks some small snails which we have come to learn are pests but they’re very cute and I’ve been removing eggs as and when I find them to try and prevent them from taking over the tank.
I just got the water tested recently and all came back almost perfect!
I have very little knowledge of fish husbandry (and admittedly was not prepared to be surprised by a tank for Christmas!) but have been learning more and more every day so any help or advice is really appreciated.
I’m really excited to get stuck into this hobby and give my fish the best life I can.
