Betta Fish: Is my betta happy?

Hey all – newbie betta keeper here!! This is my first betta – he's a sweet lil fellow called Felix. I've put plenty of catappa leaves in his tank to darken the water, and have attached spider plants to the tank edge to grow hydroponically – my plan is to create a space with lots of places to rest and hide for him (and his endler tankmates, who has no interest in/just drifts past). He rests a lot these days (here is is on a root!) – is it normal for him to rest most of the time, in various locations? He used to patrol a lot more in a previous tank, but now I'm worried he's too chill?! Or is it good that he's like this? I'd appreciate any feedback – I want him to have the nicest home <3 thank you in advance for any thoughts/advice!!
