Meet Payakan! My first ever betta~ he’s an avatar x black galaxy with a marble gene. Born September 2025 in Thailand. I’ve been so obsessed with bettas since i was a kid and finally after getting my own place i can keep one. He’s super energetic and always greets me when im near his tank! Im quite new in building tanks as well and with the budget i had, this was the tank that i can give him for now. Will definitely upgrade little by little with a betta hammock as my immediate addition. Also, its a bit premature but i definitely want to breed him in the near future and hopefully get to keep some of his offspring. Are there any avatar keepers here? Would love to connect and also see yours as im in love with how beautiful they are!

Congratulations! He’s really pretty. I assume that you already know everything about cycling tank and food, otherwise feel free to ask here. I also suggest you to upgrade to a bigger tank when you have the chance

Please buy him a filter and a heater, and look into a ‘fish in cycle’, you’re going to need a water testing kit.

Don’t breed the fish, you don’t understand basic care yet. Wait a couple years until you have a grasp at fish keeping.

Very beautiful pet fish with uneducated owner and in a sad tank , read about betta care and get him fliter and heater before he gets ill.
