I want a few floating plants and a dish to slow the flow of my filter a little more, but otherwise, it's cycled and ready for the fish! Unfortunately it's nasty levels of cold at the moment where I live so I can't even order the plants let alone the fish for a couple more months. In the meantime, I love looking at the tank as it is, and watching the little snails move around

I’d consider levelling out your tank.
Yes even a small tank, such as a 5.5gal can pop a seam when left not level for an extended period of time.
Looks very good! I am glad I have multiple fishkeeping stores available by public transport so I could pick mine out and pick him up and take home myself. I was looking for few weeks – didn’t want to pick a sickly one
