Since i got him, he had this bump on the back of his head. But as it looks like its getting bigger a little bit. Hes still pretty young so maybe it grew because he grew too. Is the bump maybe harmfull for him?

Looks like a tumor. I’ve had two which grew them. Bettas are inbred to hell and most are predisposed to cancer from bad genetics.

Samurai bettas have the dragonscale gene and are prone to tumors. It took a year, but that’s what took my Susan. RIP.

I am so sorry to read the comments, its an awful thing to find out. You must remember that you are doing everything in your power to make this little guys life as best as possible. In case of loss, think about all the memories and time filled with the great beauty of owning an animal, not the time that you spend without them after their loss. Everything is temporary but that is why its so precious and unreplaceable. 🫂

My lil boy Venti has one in his side. Medicine baths over 3 months, once a week in his old 1 gallon tank and it seems to have gone down.
