Hi reddit. I started fishing in August with a 3m whip (pictured) and have been out a half dozen times, catching ten or so fish. My father-in-law was excited when he found out and got me a spinning combo for christmas before popping round a few days later with a TON more stuff he has moved on from.
Im just a bit overwhelmed by options at the moment as a newbie and have no idea how to think about any of this stuff besides the bigger whip and the pre-tied rigs that im used to.
Any advice on where to even begin or what I should be ignoring until later would be hugely appreciated please!
Also if I've missed any information that might help let me know and ill try to find out.
