I need to check parameters when im home but theres weird gross stuff on the wood which i think is good but my heater isnt heating very well.. it seems to be stuck at 23c but i got rid of the flashing light so i think it will heat properly now.. my water still seems to be like white and kinda gross ?? I need some bigger plants too but :3 the wood is NOT structurally sound at all and i am scared for the water change as it WILLLL get dislodged but all i can do is hope

Wow. Would you look at that. No multicoloured gravel. No plastic pineapple. No fish (yet). There’s plants, and wood, and lighting, and a heater! Am I tripping or is this really a “my first tank” post done as it should be!?
The bio film on your wood is just fine. The cloudiness of the water is too; it means bacteria is blooming in your water. Wood looks fine. Plants are still young give them time.
All you need to do now is test the water each week until params are good – if you manage to not get test strips but API/JBL tests instead you are indeed smashing it.
I took a look at your previous posts to see if it was a first tank and I have to commend you on all the research you put in. I wish everyone was like this. Well done OP đ
