Hey guys, I recently got a new rod that made me shift my reels around on my current setups and now one of my favorite setups is without a reel.

I have a Daiwa Morethan Branzino 9’4 ML: https://jdmtackleheaven.com/collections/daiwa-21-morethan-branzino-ex-ags/products/daiwa-21-morethan-branzino-ex-ags-94ml-match-the-bite-custom-94

This used to have a Daiwa 24certate 4000 and I enjoyed it a lot BUT i felt I could possibly go down to a 3000 sized reel to better balance the setup. I fish from the shore for saltwater striped bass strictly for this rod and they don’t get bigger/very rare to find 30-35” 10-15lb+ around me.

Anyone have experience with the Daiwa Exist 22 3000 and if it sounds like a good option for this rod? I am aware of saltwater corrosion but I rinse my reels and take care and haven’t had a magnesium frame damaged yet.

I have a Stella 2500hg that I don’t use that much that I could throw on but if the exist is a better option I would love to hear why! Thanks for any input.
