my male betta has been glass surfing since i got him and he can see his reflection on the side of the tank and is flaringš iāve tried to cover the sides with black paper but it didnāt really help. iāve also turned the lights off for three days with my room light off to see if it would help and it did a little bit but he just went right back to staring at himself when i turned the lights back on. im wondering if i can put a back drop inside the tank i just dont know how it would stay in there without tape or something

tank size: 10 gallons
heater and filter: yes
tank temp: 80° F
ph has been 6.6 consistently, ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm and nitrates are like 10 ppm
iāve had my fish since the 24 of december and i had the tank a week before i got the fish
i have two mystery snails
i usually feed him like one tiny slice of brine shrimp every other day and on the days he doesnāt get brineshiml he gets flakes and like one or two bloodworms
edit:Could be an adjusting issue and he may get over it later on, I had bettas do this then quickly get bored. Also algae will grow on your tank walls, and its quite beneficial to let it grow, and your friend will no longer see himself, then you can only scrape off the front for viewing. Also where did you get that tunnel. I am always looking for betta toys!
Black background, most of them seem to grow out of the habit
