I recently purchased a Shimano Calcutta DC and swapped the handle for a DRT. Unfortunately, I used the wrong washer and, while trying to fix it, ended up damaging the shaft pretty badly. Shimano has excellent customer service when it comes to servicing reels, but they don’t work on JDM models.
I reached out to The Reel Deel, a veteran-owned and operated business that specializes in reel tuning, repairs, and upgrades. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and he returned the reel to me in even better condition than when I originally bought it.
If you ever need repairs or upgrades done on your JDM reels, he’s the guy to go to.
