Anyone know what i'm doing wrong here? When i slot the gomexus onto the golden rod (no clue what it's called), it doesn't seem to reach high enough to where I could attach the nut to it. There literally isn't a single tutorial video online on how to attach an aftermarket handle to this reel, so if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Use the nut that came with it. The original nut doesn’t fit
that looks similar to my gomexus and calcutta 251. you have to use their hardware, not the stock shimano stuff. also make sure you use the correct nut for the correct side. i made that mistake and had a frustrating day of hand tightening my handle nut every other cast
