Do I tie this lure directly to the line, or use a swivel?
Didn’t come with any instructions, would have been helpful.

You can tie it directly but works better with a split ring.

I’d normally say that swivels are not a problem. But the smaller the lure, the more the weight of the swivel would affect the action. I’d tie direct with a loop knot.

No need for a swivel on anything that isn’t going to be spinning or rotating on the retrieve.

Either works! Depending on the fish you’re targeting a wire leader may be better, especially if there are any pike around.

Look up the rapala knot.
