I'm working on an artwork with a mermaid inspired by a betta fish and I love these colours but I'm not sure if this is something that actually exist.

  1. In certain lighting/scale color layering you can get a very near if not total purple, fluorescent magenta though not so much. ‘Shimmering’ barely covers the look. Metallic bettas can be an almost otherworldly emerald, oil slick black, there’s a lot out there even if there’s no pink (though I am sure someone is working on it lol)

My first girl was royal blue over blood red, and depending on how the light shined off her she’d look blue, red, or purple (like a *solid* color change, it was so weird to see!). Bettas of all sorts are beautiful but she holds a very special place to me.

I could be wrong, but i think a TRUE deep purple isnt possible, or if it is its extremely rare and expensive.

Most purple ones i see look more like a balanced blend if blue/red

  3. It seems like always a bluer purple and then made more purple over all by red and or pink “streaks”

Not sure, but when pellets ask, “what’s your favorite color?” I point to this 🥲🥺❤️
