Sorry for the blurry picture I was in a rush this morning, but Evil Bastard was moved into his 5 gallon bowl last night! For the water I used half from his prior tank and half treated spring water since my tap water is so crappy. I’m not good with the nitrate cycles so I have no idea if there’s going to be issues there, but I didn’t want to leave him in his plastic jail cell any longer than I had to. I have both a filter and heater in there and a live plant with organic substrate to get him started and have somewhere to lounge. I plan on getting a bunch more plants and hiding spots for him, but in the meantime he seems much happier and I’m sure will be even better when I move his sister in there with him too (she’s a little hard to catch 😖) My betta also seems a lot less stressed in his tank without E.B. terrorizing him constantly, so I’m very happy about that too.
If anyone has any ADF diet recommendations, I’d love to hear them! I usually feed them dried bloodworms once a day but it’s hard to tell how much they need or if they need a variety of something. I know the bloodworms became hard for my bettas to digest when fed to them too often, so I didn’t know if it was the same for ADF’s. When I was at the pet store yesterday, I saw the Omega One brand aquatic frog + tadpole pellets which I thought might be good for them, but wanted to get a second opinion first before buying an entire bottle.
Any other advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated and I’ll try to post a picture whenever I continue to upgrade his tank!
