I plan to add another hide and more plants (also spread the plants out a bit) once that driftwood sinks. ❤️

Honestly looks good.
1. Fill tank higher and the level also looks way off (water higher on left side)
2. You’ll probably going to want to upgrade that light, although it may do just fine for you.
3. Maybe a lid?
Great start!

Looks great! Instead of a lid you can use frog bit or red rooters, my betta loves em. Won’t solve your evaporation issue but it’s a more natural approach to keeping him in!

Its cute, everything inside is great! I definitely do recommend a lid and a better light though. A lot of lights meant for terrestrial plants aren’t really strong enough for aquatic plants. Your best bet for a good price is to check marketplace or other second hand groups, but, if your current light is working, I wouldn’t worry.
A lid should be a must though, as it’ll allow you to add more water, be added safety for your fish, and will decrease evaporation. A sheet of plastic is a cheap option that you can cut to fit your needs, or (this will not help with evaporation), a mesh lid! I use mesh on multiple tanks, cheap and easy to cut to my needs.
