Betta Fish: I’m a new fish keeper, any tips?

I got into fish keeping in December, I’m somewhat young and this is my first betta tank! it’s a 6 gal with a sponge filter, and heater. this is my second betta in the tank, since my fist one passed away from what I think was bad genetics. the new guy doesn’t have a name yet either so please give me name suggestions if you have them! ( sorry if this is kinda bad, this is my first time using Reddit )
