Hey everyone! 🙂
My husband and I just set up this tank. It’s currently cycling, and the plants will grow in a lot more over the next few weeks.
Tank specs:
• Tetra Aqua Art Explorer Line Aquarium – 60 L / ~16 gallons
• 61 cm (L) × 36 cm (W) × 51 cm (H)
• Heated
• Low-flow filter/pump
• Day & night lighting
We’re wondering if this setup would be suitable for a short-finned Betta.
We’ve seen very mixed opinions — some say it’s perfectly fine, others say it’s not ideal — so we’d really appreciate some experienced input.
Thanks so much! 🫶🐠

Looks perfectly fine to me!
Bettas don’t prefer rounded tanks, as sometimes they can catch their reflection and get stressed if they see it too much. Allegedly it warps their view of the outside. But there’s debate on it. Other than the shape i would think it to be ok. I suppose you could try, but have another space ready in case it doesn’t work out. A bunch of schooling fish like neon tetras would be cool in here too, they like to zip around
Looks great!
Its not that warped given the size so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
