I got her months ago from a bad situation in a school where she was way overfed and kept in a bowl. I asked reddit, and they thought it was extreme bloat. I thought so too, so she went on a three day fast followed by a diet of frozen
daphnia or 4-5 bug bite betta formula bites a day, though she has only gotten bigger since. I’ve done the epsom salt baths for extreme bloat. I’ve tried raising her temp for a day to see if she was incredibly eggy. I don’t want to treat for parasites if I don’t know what it is, and the snails in her tank are doing fine. She went right into a cycled tank 10 gal i had, her parameters now are 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrite, 5 ppm nitrate, and a ph of 7.4. Her tank is heated to 78 degrees. She acts completely fine, swims like normal and interacts with me as she always has. She just KEEPS getting larger and i’m at a complete loss. We’re now on our second 3 day fast because i’m just so lost. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated, I will quite literally try anything at this point.

Thank you for saving her. I don’t have any advice as I’m not as knowledgeable and newer to fish keeping. But just know you’ve given her a better life than she previously had. You’ve done your very best to treat her right.
It could be parasites. But I don’t know what exactly. Does it look like pineconing?
If she’s still swimming, eating and interacting as she always has, I would not euthanize. Monitor her.
As for meds, I hope you get the info needed. Maybe continue with salt baths in moderation.
She has lots of life to her still, please give her the grace.
She is a beauty btw
Last time i fix my betta is no food for several day + the usual blue color drop for fish (for sick fish) and a little bit of aquarium salt and almond leaves.. i cured dropsy
