Is this where I put reel grease? I watched a couple YouTube videos I oiled all the stuff that it said felt smoother the saw a guy put the reel oil there and I’m wondering what that does and if I should have done it.

That’s one place you can put grease. That may be a little much though. Typically, when you are servicing/doing maintenance on a baitcaster, you’ll take it apart down to the gears inside. You’ll find bearing inside that you want to clean and oil. The gears and drag washers should be wiped down, removing dirt and old grease, and then you’ll want to apply a thin layer of grease to those components.
If it’s a reel I’m not familiar with I’ll generally watch a youtube video or two. Take pictures as you disassemble and make sure you have the exploded parts diagram handy.
