Hello, ive bought some softlure because i can't catch fish that was on legal size (I am from New Zealand) can anyone educate me? I only do shore fishing

I think it depends on the targeted species but I’m from the opposite side of the world up in Canada. I believe shore fishing is best with bait and a weight on the line, but it’s outside my territory. Hope it was some amount of help!
