I decided it is finally time to buy a new rod and reel, as all the gear I have is not really suitable for jigging/casting.
I ended up getting an Okuma Alijos 12 as it seemed to be the only higher speed "jigging" reel that actually has harness lugs on it. For now I grabbed an Okuma Tournament Concept X to put it on, and it seems like an OK rod.
Hopefully I can find some yellowfin over the weekend to try it out on.
