We have had our Betta fish since Christmas 2025. The first picture is the day we got her and the second picture I noticed today she has a white patch near her tail?

-tank size 1.3 gallon

-not sure of temperature
-had her since 12/25/25 and it’s 1/13/26
-I have added new water once while keeping water in there
-feed pellets (3) once a day
I’m going to get a water test and test today

3 weeks isn’t long enough to cycle the tank.
1.3 gallons is too small.
Unless you live in the tropics, no heater for a betta is too cold. Having no filter means no water movement, and the fish is sitting in its own stagnant waste.
Your fish is stressed and dying. It was overwhelmed by a pathogen while it is struggling to survive. Get it a bigger tank, a heater and filter, and hope it doesn’t die while your tank cycles and the bacteria needed settle in.

We are going to get a bigger tank and a heater. For now, I did a 25% water change and took the poop out.

That looks like an ammonia burn to me
