thanks to my boyfriend, one of my childhood dreams came true. he gifted me an aquarium for my birthday/christmas!♡
about two weeks ago i was finally able to prepare everything and today i went to my local store to get my water checked & everything was perfect! so i was able to take that beauty home with me!♡
but i can‘t wait for the brown-ish color to go away, it‘s kinda hard to see him when he‘s in the back.

+my mom will prepare me 1-2 leaves of her pothos plant, that i want to add with a suction cup, so he has something to lay on. ★

does anyone have any name suggestions?👉🏻👈🏻

(i checked all my decorations with some tights, so he wont hurt himself♡)

Pothos can mostly just have the roots submerged I believe, I think it’s one that’s more up for debate than others but I haven’t really seen success in it being submerged

  2. The brown color will go away with water changes, though it may take some time with how many tannins are left in the wood.

Can pothos be fully submerged indefinitely without rotting? Serious question, cuz I thought only their roots could.

Beautiful boy! Maybe something that has to do with space cuz he reminds me of all the colors we see in photos from hubble and whatnot. Of course those colors are shopped in, but whatever.

Congrats on your new buddy 🙂

  3. The brown is from tannins which have stress reduction and anti microbial properties. Good for his health. Lots of people actually purposely introduce tannins for that reason, blackwater tanks are a whole aesthetic too. I understand wanting to see him better though 😛
