Betta Fish: betta is dangerously thin and only eats bloodworms

hi, can i feed my super underweight betta bloodworms every day?

i got this young betta about 2 – 3 weeks ago. for the first 5 days he barely swam and didn’t eat at all. then he suddenly accepted pellets and slowly improved, but after 4 days he started spitting them out again.

i tried fasting, soaking pellets and cutting them smaller but he still spits them out. frozen bloodworms are the ONLY thing he eats willingly. for the past 5 days i’ve been feeding about 3 thin bloodworms per day.

he’s still extremely skinny 😭, almost see through. i’ve lost a betta before from overfeeding bloodworms, so i’m worried. is it ok to feed bloodworms daily for now, should i increase to around 5 worms or is that risky??
