Mine loves it I have this and the hammock style one but I put fishing line attached to a suction cup so it stays in one area because the filter moves it around too much

My mystery snail tend to flip it over sometimes tho

I tried it, but because I have plants she can perch on, my betta wouldn’t use it.

I have the larger version of that because my betta has very long fins and needed the space to turn around freely. He doesn’t use it much when the lights are on but most definitely sleeps in it when lights are out. He also builds his bubble nests in it so, make of that what you will….

Really up to ur betta lmao my old man used it for a day an decided squeezing between the plants is better 🤣🤣

I personally have 6 in different tanks and not a single betta uses them. They for sure feel exposed compared to a log per se. Only fish I’ve seen sue it are harlequin rasbora for night time rest and guppies at all times

also I just have to rant how much I hate how overpriced these are for being shitty 3d prints 😒 they cost as much for one as for an entire roll of filament that could print 5000

If your betta has long fins, they probably will use it. I have a female betta and she never uses it lol. She will only go in there if I feed her in it.
If you do decide to get one, I would try to order from a small business  🙂

  8. i have 2 bettas and one will sleep in it but the other just swims in and straight out for the most part so i’d say it depends on your fish !

My boy loves it! It took a couple minutes to help him get into it/figure out how to use it but after he figured it out he uses it quite regularly. It’s extremely helpful when I need to feed him something specific and I don’t want the guppies taking from him. He’s too polite and will just watch them snatch his food up lol. He’ll even hangout in the for a little bit

(The tank looks super empty as my snails went ham on my plants lol) She is more planted than this lol

  10. If you know anything about 3D printing and materials I wouldn’t put this in water. You can clearly see that it’s a 3D printed piece instead of injection molded. Which is fine if it wasn’t being submerged in water. You’d have to confirm if the plastic has animal safe sealant and non-toxic dyes. Without 100% infill PLA will slowly deteriorate and will leave microplastics in the water, same story for ABS plastics. PETG is the best option, but without 100% confirmation I would most likely avoid a 3D printed piece in my tank due to the unknown variables. It’s a different story with store bought wood, you can boil wood to kill bacteria, waterlog, and expedite the release of tannins but it wouldn’t be worth it to try to disinfect and seal a 3D printed pieve

  11. If you have a pothus y hat will make it 100 times more happy, will be good for the water (clear) and the guy will use the leaves as a matress just like it wouldl do in real life. Also cheaper, and it grows beautifully.
Just drop it there, and voila

  12. I have one and puts some moss in it. He doesnt go in there all the time but he occasionally does. btw this cost like 20 cents to 3d print lol.

  13. File down the inside to get rid of sharp edges and pad with Java moss. I have one but won’t put it in any tanks until I have it filed down.
