What type of trout is this? Caught it in Heredia – Costa Rica
In Costa Rica we’ve always called it rainbow trout but I looks kind of different from rainbow trout I’ve caught in Colorado, specially the large dark spots along the sides

It’s a rainbow trout but I prefer to think of it as a jungle trout 😆 cool catch and experience! Those spots on the side are just an adaptation to their environment. Not parr marks exactly but similar.
