Tying up my nymph box for the upcoming season what should I add? I'm also not the best at tying so I tend to make simple versions of stuff. Can you tell I like pheasant tails..? Also should add most of the flies are size 14, some 16 and 12. I fish in Michigan for trout mainly

I would want some more traditional looking PT nymphs, with or without flash, in size 18 or so. Maybe some unweighted flies too. I don’t know how MI fishes, but out here in the PNW I always like to have some CDC collared jigs, usually duracell or tassie devil variants.

Nothing deadlier than dead drifting a woolly bugger
Mop fly
A few stonefly patterns wouldn’t go amiss.
