    Not even large blue gills at that. I think the tides will turn when it gets warmer

    So the best way to counter this would be throwing baits too large for bluegill to eat. 4-6” soft plastics are normal for bass, and way too big for bluegill to mess with. I’ve caught less than a handful of crappie in my life on baits that size and zero bluegill. Fish lures more specific to what you’re targeting to weed out the bycatch.

    Bass eat bluegill, throw it on a hook and loosen the drag. Wait while you fish with your main setup.
