I think a little on the small side I’d use personally a 5/0 but it will still work you just might get short strikes.

The problem might not be the hooklength it is more the the hookbend. I would use one or two numbers bigger.

Too small of a hook to have prime chances at hookup is the problem. I have settled on 1/8-1/4oz swimbait heads because they come with 4/0 and 5/0 hooks. They fish faster but it’s worth it for the hookup to me.

Add a stinger treble hook if you want the light head for a slower fall rate.
