Well, the plant is real. The aquarium it was in before had other fish; I moved them to a bigger tank so the betta could have its own. Tomorrow I'm going to buy it its bubble machine and water heater, or whatever it's called, haha. Anyway, any advice, opinions, or suggestions are appreciated. (I didn't add more water because it's freezing cold, and the aquarium water is lukewarm (because of the heater that was for the other fish, haha)).

Great that you decided to take care of him! I’d maybe remove that shell, since I’m quite sure shells can leak some stuff into the water and change the pH (At least some shells)
