Fishing with some friends, decided we would try for buffs and anything that was up for feeding. And turned out to be a good day for buffs honestly. 😁 no they aren't "carp" they are a species from the suckered family. But they feed similar to carp and are really quite pretty when you see them in person. Gonna try going for them again in the spring time.

  1. I catch them pretty frequently around here (St. Louis area) They tend to “take” quite differently than carp, and they don’t fight quite as hard… But they get seriously large. The iridescent gold scales are quite pretty.
