My FIL was an incurable angler. He kept meaning teaching me to tie flies, but due to Alzheimer’s, it never really happened.
As we were cleaning out the house, a family friend finally finished assembling a kit of books, tools, and materials for me that FIL has started. Here is my first fly.
Can’t claim to be much of a fisherman myself, but I intend to go more in his memory and get some use out of his equipment.

Hell yeah looks cool. You should get into fly fishing. It’s incredibly hard to learn but super rewarding
