Thought I’d share my bait casting line up for 2026. Curious to hear your guys thoughts, anything you’d change, add, etc.
Also- let me know if anyone has any questions on any of the rods / reels. I’m desperately trying to kill time until the ice melts up here in CT.

0/10 because you reel with your left hand. reeling with right and casting with left is the superior method.
I thought I had a problem 😂 as long as you got a H, MH, and M rod you’re good to go. Everything looks like quality stuff so I think you’re good there too. Btw is that one of the newer KVD reels? How do you like it? And also what’s your opinion on the cashion rods. I’d also consider getting a lower speed reel in the 6s for crank baits and using strictly Floro. I noticed a difference when I went to straight floro instead of braid to leader
It’s a good start! 😁
Left handed Tatulas always gets a 10/10 in my book.
Killer set up! I just got a Cashion element z2 for my chatters/ spinners and single hook swim applications. Kayak fisher so can’t have an arsenal like this lol. How do you like that rod?
Also, which is your most used/ favorite combo?!
New to fishing and interested in getting a baitcaster. What’s the combo you use the most?
Nice! Maybe add a light/UL setup for some BFS action. I’m debating on getting one myself to feed my addiction
I’m also a kayak fisherman. Started with the Perception Outlaw and upgraded to the Native Slayer LTE last year. I’m about 50/50 fun fishing and tournament fishing. My new yak can hold 8 rods, so I bring with me the combos I feel will make the most sense for the water body I’m at and what it’s setting up for (time of year, weather, etc).
For my favorite combo, it is VERY close between the Cashion / Tatula Sv Tw (jdm reel) for chatterbaits and the Shimano SLX A / SLX DC XT (jdm reel) for jerkbaits. This combo is absolutely ridiculous for the price- $100 rod and got the DC XT for $170 via JDM website. The rod is feather light at around 100g, and the size 70 reel pairs perfect.
