Talked him down to $4200, it also comes with a Boonedox Groovy T-Bone Bed Extender. Would be used for local socal back bay fishing. Possibly add a motor down the line? This would be my first kayak, any help would greatly be appreciated.

Meh. Not really. Brand new is $4600. Sure, you’re getting about $1000 worth of add-ons but it’s used electronics. Will you be happy with it? Probably. Would I pay $4200 for this? Absolutely not.

2,000+ gets you some decent pedal options. Jackson Big Rig FD can be had on sale for around 2,300. Native has kayaks on sale from time to time too. Check out eco fishing shop. This is too pricey for used yak imo.

  3. I wouldn’t buy a 360 drive brand new. I’m absolutely not buying a 360 drive used. I’ve heard horror stories. I’m completely staying away from hobbie until they can prove competent customer service post Bass Pro acquisition. Native, Bonafide, and Old Town are the safe bets for now

Not sure about California but that would be a lot to spend on a kayak in FL, as someone mentioned the new pedal drives have issues and hobie parts can be hard to get. I have an Outback but it has the old style drive with no reverse which is less prone to failure.
