I assume this is a good thing? He’s in a 5 gallon tank by himself with plants. My only concern is the water does not want to move away from acidity it’s around 5.5-6.0 on the test strip. I add ph enhancement every two weeks but it doesn’t seem to change..

Also for the acidity (ph) try using the API Freshwater Master Test Kit! Strips are NOT accurate 😛
