What is its value undamaged? If it’s close to what you’re paying, then hold off for one that isn’t cracked/repaired.

Cracked yak is not good

That repair looks like dogshit. Those kayaks are like $950 brand new. If you can talk him down to like $500 it might be worth it for the extras if you feel confident you can do an actual repair on it.

Don’t even bother. That repair job should tell you everything you need to know.

Use a heat gun instead of glue. My buddy repaired his Hobie with a kit and it worked well.

Dude he wants 89% retail value for a broken yak. No. How is this even a question? You’re paying for used electronics and a broken boat atp.

Nope, not even a little bit. Guy is delusional asking $850 for that.

The 11.5 is just under $1k brand new, but obviously doesn’t come with all the extras.. with that being said, if it’s an option, go check the kayak out in person, if that’s the only serious damage, I would offer him $700 and go from there. The spot pictured is around the seating area, so it’s not on the bottom or a spot that will see a ton of water. If you need any tips on repairs (if you do buy it) don’t hesitate to reach out, I’ve had a few of the FeelFree kayaks and I love them, best bang for the buck in my opinion
I didn’t read the post but the answer is always no.

Feel free’s have had a problem with cracking under the seat. I believe it was a design flaw, that is a bit sketch. Don’t know the years effected, but there were 5+ people on groups talking about Feelfree cracks over the last two years. Compared to others, that was 4 more than I had heard of otherwise

I sold my FeelFree Lure 11.5 V2 with a damaged Overdrive, but otherwise perfect condition (even included a nice paddle and a Striker4 + battery) got about $700 all in after months of listing. Definitely not worth it. Also the amount of pressure the Gravity Seat puts in this section of the hull is significant enough that I would never trust that “repair”

Lowball the fuck out of him… you can get a very nice kayak for $750. Stay away from cracked if you plan on spending that money… I would say $200-$300.

Nope

That crack is *not* repaired.
I would inspect for stress in other places on the kayak – where will it crack next?
Good thing is kayaks are made out of a thermoplastic which means you can weld them as good as new if you have the skills or know someone that has the skills
