Betta Fish: Our new family member

This is our new Betta. I dont know what type but a handsome one for sure.

We have him for 2 days and he built his first bubble nest. So happy! I think he likes his new home. He lives with his homemate, a red Neritina snail.

But he hasnt eaten anything yet. We tried to feed him with 2 granules yesterday and today but he doesnt seem very interested. Is this normal? I make sure not to overfeed him. Only once a day with only two granules. Tomorrow I will try frosted food.
