My wife bought me this tandem Pelican kayak about a year ago off Facebook marketplace. I was so excited and decked it out with some black camo decals I made. (Also the first time I used the Cricut machine my mom gave me a while ago 😂). We’ve only used it twice, mostly because it’s not too fun to paddle and keep in one spot while I fish. Sooo I bought a battery and trolling motor’m not too familiar with saltwater fishing. I want to go and fish for some reds and flounder or trout. Any suggestions or advice?

Eventually those rod holders in the back will weaken and break from the forward/reverse force of the trolling motor. Never recommend side mount, uses more battery life than necessary.
I do like the black camo though! I would recommend getting something sturdier for saltwater fishing

Cool looking pattern. Just keep fishing out of it and you’ll learn more about works for you and what doesn’t. I always people spend a bunch of money upfront on accessories they think they need. Use the kayak a few times and then decide if you need to add an accessory. You’ll be time and money ahead this way.
