I love the flukes but I can go thru a whole bag in a trip so just wondering.

  1. You’d be better off trying something made out of Elaztech (Z-Man and some(?) strike king)

They float harder so you may need a weighted hook, but I usually break the hook or lose the rig before the soft plastic fails.

Or change your rigging, I use super fluke and super fluke jrs all summer for smallmouth and can usually get 8-10 fish on one weightless Texas rigged fluke with a 2/0 or 3/0 wide gap VMC. Order some tiny bottles of super glue to bring with you, it cures instantly in water

  2. Very different lures.

The hardbait equivalent-ish of a fluke would be a jerkbait, but even that is pretty different.

They sell these in a three pack and they are amazing baits with a little dremmel work on the front half of the joint. I change the hooks but there not terrible the way they come. I have a few baits over 50$ that dont work as well as these. Also i will say 1 of the 6 i own doesnt swim right so quality control is rough

  4. Z man streakz. I usually rig em with a belly weight hook. They last way longer than normal plastics
