Sorry for bad pics. Last one is the other side for reference. Yesterday I noticed that my betta has some weird mold looking thing growing by his eye. Any ideas what this is and how I should treat it? Let me know if I should move him to a separate tank 🙁

Dragon scale – the genetics for it can cause that.
If it looks powdery look up velvet disease in fish

I cant see the fuzz? if its white and fuzzy looking then you’d wanna treat it like an infection? Do a few baths and treat the water.
You sure it’s just not the samurai/ dragon scale gene growing over his eyes? He ‘ll eventually go blind if it is- you should get a floating colored good ring and tap when you feed him – if so.
